"Bash: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'" when running a snark-worker

I get the following error when trying to run a snark worker:

root@localhost:~# coda daemon \

-external-port 8302 \
-discovery-port 8303 \
-peer /dns4/seed-one.genesis-redux.o1test.net/tcp/10002/ipfs/12D3KooWP7fTKbyiUcYJGajQDpCFo2rDexgTHFJTxCH8jvcL1eAH \
-peer /dns4/seed-two.genesis-redux.o1test.net/tcp/10002/ipfs/12D3KooWL9ywbiXNfMBqnUKHSB1Q1BaHFNUzppu6JLMVn9TTPFSA \
-run-snark-worker $CODA_PUBLIC_KEY \
-snark-worker-fee <fee>

-bash: syntax error near unexpected token `newline’

Did y’all get the same error? If so how did you solve it?

Hi! did you run this command exactly? You need to replace <fee> with some number and make sure you don’t have extra blank lines in that command example:

coda daemon \
-external-port 8302 \
-discovery-port 8303 \
-peer /dns4/seed-one.genesis-redux.o1test.net/tcp/10002/ipfs/12D3KooWP7fTKbyiUcYJGajQDpCFo2rDexgTHFJTxCH8jvcL1eAH \
-peer /dns4/seed-two.genesis-redux.o1test.net/tcp/10002/ipfs/12D3KooWL9ywbiXNfMBqnUKHSB1Q1BaHFNUzppu6JLMVn9TTPFSA \
-run-snark-worker $CODA_PUBLIC_KEY \
-snark-worker-fee 2

Thank you for your assistance. I was running the command exactly, without replacing “”. Applying “-snark-worker-fee 2” solved the issue. :slightly_smiling_face:
