Testnet Beta Release 2.3 - Staking Signups

Release 2.4 of Coda’s Testnet Beta Phase 2 will begin on November 13th, at 2pm UTC-8. Release 2.4 will continue the Staking Challenge from the previous releases, with a fresh ledger.

If your public key is added to the Release 2.3 ledger, you don’t need to read any further – you will already be added to the genesis ledger.

Otherwise, in order to be included in the staking challenge, please follow the steps below to sign up and to add your public key to the genesis ledger before Tuesday November 12th, end of day!

New members start here:

  • Get started on the testnet by following the instructions here .
  • After creating your new account on the testnet in this step , you can report your public key to the team in order to sign up for the staking challenge!
  • Create a GitHub account if you don’t already have one.
  • Continue with the steps below.

Testnet users from previous releases start here:

  • Make a Github Pull Request to this file in the Coda-Automation repository, adding your Public Key and Discord Username to the STAKING_CHALLENGE dictionary. If this step seems challenging for you, ask in the Testnet-General Channel on Discord . The team is hanging out over there and is happy to help!
  • Name your Pull Request Staking Challenge: Adding Key for <Discord Username> to report your Public Key to the team.

FAQ:
Q: My Public Key and Discord Username are in the OBSERVED_COMMUNITY_PUBLIC_KEYS list, do I still need to add it to STAKING_CHALLENGE ?
A: Yes!
